Integrations

Integrations connect your assistants to the tools you already use: your code host, your mail, your calendar, your issue tracker. An assistant that can see the right tool does better work, and an assistant that has to ask you for every detail does not.

Every integration on this page is available, and each one is used by the assistants whose work it fits. Connect your code is the checklist for the three code hosts: GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.

How integrations work#

1. Create an access token in the tool, or sign in to it. Give it only the permissions the assistant needs. Each page lists them in plain words.
2. Connect it. Open Integrations, pick the tool, paste the token or sign in, and press Connect. Most tools connect on stellarfirm.ai and in the StellarFirm desktop app; a few, such as the code editors, need the desktop app. Each tool's page says where it connects.
3. Ask for the work. In chat, tell the assistant what you want. It uses the tool without you pasting anything again.

In cloud mode, StellarFirm stores your token encrypted in StellarFirm cloud. It is never shown back to you after you connect: the page shows only that the tool is connected. You never paste a token into a chat message.

Which assistants use which tool#

Every connected tool is shared by your assistants, and each one uses the tools that fit its job: source control for the Coder, mail and Legal Data Hunter for the Accountant and Legal, SEO, social, and email campaign tools for Marketing, video channels and design and video studios for creators working with Marketing, Close, Apollo.io, and outreach tools for Sales, Fireflies and Vapi for the Executive assistant, Freshdesk for Support, and Lofty, a real estate CRM, and PropertyData, UK property market data, for Sales and Marketing in a real estate agency. A Coder with the IT administrator role reads UptimeRobot, JumpCloud, and Freshservice. Web search tools such as Firecrawl and Exa help every assistant that researches, and each fact they find comes with the address of its page.

An assistant never pretends a tool is connected. If you have not connected it, the assistant leaves it out and tells you.

Preflight checklist#

Before you connect a tool:

• You are signed in to StellarFirm, at stellarfirm.ai or in the desktop app.
• You can create an access token in that tool.
• You know the smallest set of repositories, folders, or projects the assistant should see.
• You have decided what your house rules allow without asking.

Talk to your assistants from chat tools#

Chat tools are where you hand work over without opening StellarFirm. Mention your assistants in Slack, Telegram, or Discord, and let them read and draft in Microsoft Teams. The StellarFirm chat works everywhere. Delegate work compares every place you can hand work to your assistants.

Staying in control#

• Connect with the least access that works. You can always make a token wider later.
• Disconnect at any time. Revoke the token in the tool itself and the assistant loses access straight away.
• Check what happened. Jobs and Approvals keep a record of what each assistant did with each tool. See the activity log.
